HP Limit w/Billet Input and Hub?

Water injection for CHEAP

I've got about 300 miles on my second clutch from Valair. Everything is working great. This will be long, but I want to tell the whole story.

I bought the 13" upgrade kit on 1-20-2007 which came with a flywheel, starter spacer, and clutch kit. It worked good, but was a little grabby/chattery from the beginning. It was an organic disk, so I thought it should've been smooth. It seemed to be getting better, but maybe I was getting used to it. When I was putting the clutch in the first time, I noticed the transmission had excessive clearance so I ordered the parts to fix it, but put the truck back together to use it for a week or so.

When I pulled the transmission to fix it, I thought I would take a look at the clutch just to see how it was doing. What I found was a flywheel with two very distinct high spots in it 180 degrees apart from each other. This was Wednesday night when I got it apart.

I dropped the flywheel off to get it surfaced Thursday, and called Valair to see what could be done. I spoke with Dan Vallance (owner) and told him what I had found. He was shocked to say the least at the flywheel problem. He took care of me far beyond what I expected. He overnited me a new clutch kit and offered to send a new flywheel too. I figured the flywheel would be fine once it was surfaced. I don't even want to know what it cost to overnite a clutch much less a flywheel.

I've only got a little over 300 miles on it so far, but right now I will say it is the smoothest clutch I have ever installed. I'm very impressed with the clutch as well as the customer service. I will report more after I get some more miles on it.

They list some on their site rated for that HP level. From talking to Dan, he really seems to know his stuff on clutches. They may be somewhat new to the light duty market, but thay have lots of experience with the heavy trucks.
