ordered a valair ceramic 600hp clutch... . 1100lb-ft .....
they said it will be reall grabby with the 3800lb pressure plate, but is great or daily driving and some street performance... .
anyone have any ideas on how these react in the trucks,
hauled 15k with the stocker and all my fuel, and now it wont grabb so i had to use part of the school loan to get this one... .
Ceramic/Ceramic:
These clutches utilize ceramic buttons on both sides of the clutch disc and are aimed at the high performance trucks, these are the best of bad single disc clutches . Driving manners are very performance oriented with no clutch slip, basically the clutch is in, or it is out. Great holding capacity for highly modified trucks, the only way you will get more holding power is to go to a Dual Disc Clutch setup. Ceramic is a very hard material so typically flywheel wear is more noticeable using a ceramic clutch than with other materials. Pedal pressure is typically a little higher than factory pedal pressure depending on plate pressure(3200#, 3400#, 3800#). Drive train and Hydraulic upgrades are recommended. Some clutch rattle may be noticed while idling in neutral.
Ideally suited to trucks with high performance power modifications with 500-600HP.
(Not recommended for towing)
