Could a person hook a switch into the map sensor wire to show no boost to the computer? It would be nice to have a valet switch.

Thanks

What are you trying to accomplish?

FYI, you have to be careful manipulating the signal on the CR's or they will go into limp mode. You can't just add a switch to break a circuit.

I would like to be able to detune like the old twelve value use to. How would a person build a boost fooler?
Thanks

The BEST valet switch is to park it yourself. I wouldn't trust ANY of those knuckel heads to park my truck. I was in So Lake Tahoe a few years ago at a casino parking structure. My wife and I were walking to the casino when we see these Valets SCREAMING through the parking structure in some poor fools car. Needles to say that reinforced my opinion of parking Valets!

I think you will run into a problem with rationality if you try to clamp the voltage lower the ECU thinks it should be. Since that is a main fueling parameter you can't just break the circuit like the 12V's or it will just go into limp mode. I believe the ECU applies a rationality test to about all its sensors to determine if they are in a valid range. If not you get a MIL and other unknown results.

A boost fooler clamps the voltage and almost the max the MAP will output so the ECU thinks things are OK, if you try to clamp it too low it might not like the mismatch. The question would be what voltage would give you defule and not cause codes.

Drill a hole in the throttle pedal and insert a padlock with a long loop through a 2x4 and the pedal that does not allow the pedal to move more than an 1/8"... ... ... ... ... . I should market this!!!
