I searched a lot of threads and couldn't find what I was looking for so I thought I would ask some questions.

I know the valet switch is a solenoid that limits the boost to the AFC but how does it do this?

Does the the solenoid bleed the boost or does it block it completely?

If you bleed 40lbs of boost wouldn't you hear the air making noise just like out of your air hose nozzle on a shop compressor?

What exactly does a variable valet do and who sells one or how do I build one?

How much difference in power does it make on a 450hp truck?

Has anyone thought of putting compressed air to the AFC separately for race purposes? It seems like this would create a lot of smoke at low boost even on a stock truck. Would this have the same result as moving the AFC housing and star wheel all the way up?

I don't understand the P7100 as well as I would like- someone please fill me in.

I built my own. It bleeds some of the boost signal going to the afc.

No you cant hear it over the engine. I had to experiment with the orifice size on the bleed. If you just vent all the signal your truck will be doggier than a 62 vee dub running on 2 cyliders.

I thought about the compressed air thing also but never did it.

I think it would make lots of smoke but sure would be fun.

Bill
