Value of 1st gen truck

A friend of mine is selling an 86' Ram 250 gas burner. It has a few issues. The rear main is leaking. The trans is acting up. But the body is very clean. It was for sure the grandpa truck. A first gen enthusiast would kill to have the body of this truck. He asked me about it so I told him I would ask you guys for a value. Thanks in advance.

Being gas and having troubles drop's the value but I would think you still get about 1500 for the complete truck all depend's on how bad somebody want's it

Sounds like its worth the life of a person or two, just as you stated. I'd personally gladly pay $1000 to $1500 for the cab shell, full doghouse and perfect bed. Not that I need them on mine... I'm just sayin. But perhaps my intercooled diesel can't use the total doghouse (radiator support surely is different). I'm sure some holes would need drilled somewhere. But if its genuine Mopar parts... I don't see how you can beat that.
