Valve Adjustment on an 8.3 24 valve

I need the specs on the valve adjustment for a 2000 model 8. 3 Cummins. I thought it was . 010 and . 020 but wanted to be sure. Also is the recommended interval 150,000 miles? Thanks.

The valve lash specs should be stamped on the engine data plate just like other Cummins engines. If it's a 24v it's probably more like . 015 and . 030.

From the owners manual 8. 3 ISC Interval 150,000 miles

Intake 0. 012 acceptable range 0. 006 to 0. 022

Exhaust 0. 022 acceptable range 0. 015 to 0. 032

Engine coolant should be less than 140 degrees Fahrenheit

With engine at tdc you should be able to do 1i,1e,2i,3e,4i,&5e

turn engine 360 you should be able to do 2e,3i,4e,5i,6i & 6e

the book time is 1. 5 hours have fun!
