Valve adjustment=sluggish

Had the valves adjusted after 75,000 miles. They were way out on some. Now the truck seems really slow. I think we might open her back up. Anybody else have the same problem/reaction?

Mojo, I adjusted mine and it ran better, I had quite a few way out too. The low end on mine really perked up, and it is quieter. What did you set them to? Hot or cold? The only way you could really lose power is to have them too tight, they would have to be incredibly loose to see any real drop in performance I think.

I'm guessing they were adjusted wrong. Adjust only 1/2 of them at each TDC, and be sure you have the correct TDC!

If you got 'em too tight and they are not seating 100%, you can toast the valves in short order I'd certainly pull the cover and try re-doing them.
