Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Silver bullet too big?

After reading a couple of posts over the last few days, I realized I need to adjust my valves. I can run the valves on a SB Chevy in my sleep, but I don't even know how to find tdc on my ctd. Is there a sight where I can find the procedure, or should I take it to a shop? Any info would be appreciated.

Pretty straight forward. Need to be on TDC, remove the cover infront of the VP44 shaft, there is a mark on the front cover of the engine and one on the VP44 gear. Line these up, should be at 12 O'clock, a small mirror will be needed to do this. Once you have the marks lined up the adjustment is as follows, 1 I&E, 2 I, 3 E, 4 I, 5 E. After you have done those rotate the engine till the mark on the VP44 gear is at the 6 O'clock position and adjust the following, 2 E, 3 I, 4 E, 5 I, 6 I&E. I set mine at . 010 on the intake and . 020 on the exhaust.

You can rotate the engine with a barring tool or with the nut on the alternator, either way.
