Ok I was searching on here and this cable and came across this.

The tv cable increases pressure while giving more fuel. Also the valve body does to.

My question is why is there pressure at the valve body and the cable? Why can't we just use one or the other?

Another reason I ask is I am tring to now firgure out why going from 2 to 3 shifts way harder than the other gears. I did adjust the cable but made no difference in the way it shifts. It is kinda like it jolts the engine and trans real bad from 2 to 3 but you can feel the other gears on upshift & downshift?

I just don't like the way 2 to 3 jolts my truck.

Do you think it might be to high in valve body pressure?

I do have a ats valve body also.

I am also tring to find a electric pressure sender that works up to 200 psi to hook to my standalone so I can see what pressure I am getting.

I need to get this figured out so I can get more miles on my truck. I just think something will give If I drive it:mad:.

You need to make sure the TV cable starts moving at the same time the accelerator arm starts moving or you will burn up your transmission.

Since you bought there valve body , you may want to ask them .
When was the last time you adjusted the bands ?
As they ware the gap gets bigger - harsher shifts , that helped mine , may be some thing els , but I like to look at the easy stuff 1st , also , what transmission fluid ? that affects how a trans shifts .
The TV cable is how the trans knows what you want , more or less GO .

Here is where I am with this.

1. 3 disk converter

2. ats standalone valve body

3. all new atf fluid

4. I did adjust the throttle valve cable to only go half way. ( this did atleast let me shift instead of me leaving of the fuel pedal to shift.

5. I put in my valve body & converter ( I did adjust the front band but I will check it again).

6. Billet imput shaft

7. I am just running stock hp until I get things right. This is another reason I am not driving it until the shifting smooths out.

8. I did call ats and I am going to try and call them again today. They said the valve body pressure is to high.

9. I am looking here for feedback here. That is why I posted. You all know that other people do know things other people don't... lol

10. thanks everyone for the help:).
