I'm putting a deeper transmission fluid pan on my truck and was wondering if it would be worth it to put in an aftermarket valve body at the same time? I don't know much about them and couldn't find much info either. Is it worth getting one without upgrading the TC at the same time and does anyone have a brand that has worked well for them? I know the TC is important, its coming Spring/Summer.

I think that it has definately helped mine(see sig). Tim's set-up increased apply and lockup pressures and circulates fluid in park and neutral instead of neutral only. Even though I change fluid every 15,000 or so, the pan is the cleanest of any auto, including a 45RE, that I've ever owned.

It is the place to start.

Getting correct fluid pressures is the key to trans survival.

I've done the shift kit thing and a freind has the VB from DTT, his shifts so much cleaner. I now have a DTT VB but hope to install it this weekend.

Call DTT and find out from them what you need. 1-866-504-4002

How much was the VB from them. I deffinatly need something soon between my mp-8 nad soon tobe smarty jr I want to have a little better setup.

Is the Valve body easy to install? Sounds like it might be worth it, my 48RE shifts pretty good as is, but it is not consistent, some times the 1-2 shift is rough, sometimes smooth as butter, and I don't tow, the 3-4 is a little wierd sometimes too.

Call Dusty Hawk at HTS trans ! He is full of knowledge & he will walk you thru the install. His phone # is 1-877-630-9122. He did my trans in Nov. & it's a new truck now.
