Truck has 13K miles on it and it goes to the dealer tomorrow for what I will call a leaky valve cover. Did I get a "friday truck" or does this seem to be a problem with the 3rd Gens??

Sometimes the valve cover gasket gets tweaked during installation. . a new

one will fix ya up. Not a problem with the 3rd gens, it just happens, all gens.

Valve Cover

Mine had a seep, barely could even tell there was a oil leak, I just mentioned it to the service writer an he wrote it up. Dealership replaced with new gasket an also got a new valve cover in the deal since tech damaged mine. Had no signs of any leaks since. Oo.

Just got bad from dealer. Siad it is not a problem. Also told me that they really don't work on the Cummins and for anything major, they send it up the road to the Cummins shop. That is good to know! :)
