Valve Cover recall?

Has there been a recall on the valve cover gasket/seal. I think mine is leaking on the right rear side. Any info is appreciated.

CT425... I have not heard of any recall on the Valve Cover gasket. If yours is leaking, I would try this... remove the bolts holding it in place, lift valve cover enough to inspect the leaky area, then, if no damage is found, reinstall the valve cover... I do this by finger tightening all of the bolts, then start in the middle and work outwards on both ends of the cover, til all are tight. If I have not explained this enough, email me. There is a specific torque value to use on this, but I don't torque them so I forget what it is.

I forget the TSB # but mine had a failure FROM THE FACTORY. It took 3,200 miles to show but the Back of the motor (Stuff your arm along the top of the valve cover and reach down the backside of the head) was COMPLETLY Covered in oil and after it was replaced gee so went the Horrible smell after AND Between oil changes. (Now it just stinks for the first 75 miles or so) Check out ALLDATA. COM
