Need help!!!! My rebuild kit from fel-pro came complete with 24 new valve guide seals but they are nearly identical and are not marked! You can see in the pic the subtle differences. The one on the left has a little raised lip in the middle of it. The one on the right has 3 even smaller ridges non the inside. The hole diameter is identical and so is everything else. Which one is which?!?!?#@$%!

yellow valve springs are for intake valves and GREEN VALVE SEALES are for the intake valves,,original cummins felpro don't know unless u have the old seals and know how they came off,,,hope this helps

Thanks for the replies guys - the problem is that the originals are gone. We pulled them off at the machine shop and never thought twice about it. They have since been trashed and left us with no way to tell. The machinist is going to get on the phone with Fel-Pro in the morning and formally complain, as this isn't the first time they have done this, I guess. I have crossed the numbers every which way from Sunday and can only find one set of #'s and they only say "Valve Stem Seals" and never specify which.

OK... had to buy a new set that was LABELED!!!! to see the difference. The seal with the single lip is for the exhaust. The one with 5 little ridges (I originally said 3, but it's actually 5) is for the intake. I sure hope this helps someone in the future.
