Attention: TDR Forum Junkies HI all,
I recently bought a 1981 Internnational 1854 Series Medium duty stake body dump Truck. I bought the truck in a non running state with the previous owner stating that the engine had been recently rebuilt and that the only reason for its non-use (about a year and a half) was the fact that the water pump locked up. A Buddy of mine and I put a new water pump on and the engine fired with just a little bit of grinding to a start (a little starting fluid also... . done properly!)...
The engine idled fine but and oil pressure was good but there was a noise that my frieds dad thought was the result of out of adjustment valves..... Where can I find the specs for the valve adjustment and procedure for adjusting them?... I would really like to know by tomorrow if possible otherwise I'll have to wait another 2 weeks until my friend has off again (yes, he works alot!).
