Valves

Can someone with a book look up the high and low side and post it. When I had my 96 I set them at 10 intake 20 ex but was thinking I had read some where that you can run a 24 valve tighter than 10 and 20. Thanks

The service manual states :



Intake . 254 mm (. 010 in)

Exhaust . 508 mm (. 020 in)



The valve lash limit according to the manual is :



Intake

. 152 mm (. 006 in) Min

. 381 mm (. 015 in Max



Exhaust

. 381 mm (. 015 in) Min

. 762 mm (. 030 in) Max



If measured valve lash falls within these specs no adjustment/reset/ is necessary. Engine operation within these ranges has no adverse affect on performance, emissions, fuel economy, or level of engine noise.



Again this is straight out of the Factory Service Manual.
