valvoline oil

can anyone confirm that the factory fill is valvoline premium blue (I think that is what I heard) and whether I should change it at 3000 miles or not. If the rings are not seated wouldn't a lot of fuel get past and lead to oil dilution therefore requiring more frequent oil changes? first diesel ... . lots of ???

Its vavoline. Send em a email if you want to hear it from them. Some change it at 3000 miles or sooner. On my 04 I have been changing it at 3000 or more till I get it broke in good then its on Amsoil. I think I got a little over 14000 now. I have never had any problem with oil dilution on the ones I have owned starting with the 91>95>98(totaled)>00>03>04

I ran mine right to 7500 and it was still cleaner than my 95 ever was.
