Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme is NOW A FULL

Synthetic... ... ... . I was over at Cummins NW and they showed me and I was surprised. Still only slightly over $16/gallon!

Am I missing something? Is someone saying it's now group IV or group V?



Remember, it always was "full synthetic" by Castrol's definition.



Yes, it IS good oil. My engine didn't seem to like it though. NO proof of that. It rattled more and mileage was down relative to Redline.

Unless something new has happened with a complete new reformulation, I think Hammersley is misinformed. Premium blue extreme has always been a group 3 'synthetic'.

They are a 4 and also the formulation is the H or I group.



I use it all the time towing and winter use. The engine like it when it is cold out in the 5W part of it. I do extended drains as well but still change the filter at 5000 and top off the quart.

Last I seen any info it was a Group III.
