Has anyone tried this stuff yet. At there web site that its "endorsed and recommended by Cummins for use in Doge Ram Turbo Diesels ?" I've been using Delo 400 for the first 60,000 at change intervals of 7500 miles. I thinking of switching to Premium Blue extreme and changing my oil at every 15-20,000. If you go with extended oil changes at what interval do you change the filter ? Thanks Guys

If its anything like Valvoline Max Life, I wouldnt use it in my lawn mower. I tried Valvoline Max life in my Corvette and had lifter noises within a few hundred miles. I changed back to Chevron and no more noise. I wrote to Valvoline and never got a reply. Kinda makes you wonder. . My advice is STAY with DELO 15-40

I have tried it one time before, I have a family cabin in Michigan and its in a small town and local lube shop talked me into it and ended up costing around 84 dollars. They put oil sticker on my window and said the next oil change wasn't due for 10,000 miles. Of course I didn't wait 10,000 to change it but it did very well and never had a problem with it. But for that cost I'll switch over to synthetic and thats exactly what I did. I am using Royal purple and fleetguard filters, I change the filter every 5,000 miles and change the oil every 10,000 miles. Some say that is over kill but I just believe that it is cheap protection becuase I tow at max gvw almost 6 days a week and run a ton of highway miles. corey

Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme is a full synthetic.

I did not know it was synthetic, when the lube shop put it in they didn't tell me that it was. my bad   I still like the royal purple that i'm using now. corey

Not to get into this to in depth again but the PB Extreme is a Group III synthetic unlike the Delvac 1, Royal Purple, Redline, Amsoil, which are Group IV/V oils. The Group III is a very good oil, I am running one myself, but generally not as good as Group IV/V. The biggest thing is do not pay Group IV/V prices for a Group III oil.

Personally I would not run the PB Extreme out to 20k without oil analysis to verify that it is holding up as well as it should at that mileage. JMHO
