I've had this variable vibration going on for quite a long time. It is most noticeable at idle sitting still, in either park or neutral. If you depress the throttle to increase rpm it cycles faster and appears to somewhat go away around 2000 rpms. If you place it in gear at an idle, it is still there but almost unnoticeable. It has never worsened or improved. Any ideas guys?

My truck has over 289,000 miles on it. You can read my sig for modifications I've made since new. Also I rebuilt a donor 47RE transmission for it at 257,000 miles using ATS components, including there valvebody kit. I installed a TCI billet cover single disk convertor at the same time. I'm sure someone out there has experienced my problem also.

I would suspect the vibration dampener as a possible culprit. I have read that they do deteriorate over time.

I have also read some good reports on the "Fliuidamper" but it is rather expensive.
