I installed a new version of vB tonight. You shouldn't see any functional changes as this was a bug fix release. It was done for security purposes. If you have any problems please report them here and I'll look into it as soon as possible.

I swear the search engine hasn't been "right" since the upgrade that you guys did that gave us all the new graphics and everything. I finally have an example that I remember. Type this into a search window:



+interesting +result



And select "search titles only". Leave everything else as the default. There should be 1 thread that pops up on the results page... it contains neither the word "interesting" nor "result".

Actually, if you look at post #7 in that thread ( https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21891 ) you'll see that the title of that post is "It would be interesting to see the result if you were both pulling a 15,000# 5er!". Since that title includes both interesting and result that's why that thread is being returned. It's searching on all of the titles.

Well I just learned something! I have always thought that searching on "title only" meant you were searching on the thread title, not post titles.



That explains a lot of what I thought was bad performance on the part of the search function. Thanks, Steve!
