Hey guys, Do any of you have the part number for the VDO Vision series pyrometer and thermocouple? The parts houses here in my neck of the woods can come up with the boost gauge, but no one even knows what a pyrometer is, let alone find a part number to order it. Also, if I use a two gauge A-pillar pod, will I have to drill holes into the original A-pillar cover to get the hookups for the gauges? Thanx in advance for the help.

regards, Larry

Hi Larry,

Check out egauges.com. On their VDO Vision page, it should be 310-153, at least the egauge part number. Be sure to check their price, it might be cheaper.

Hope this helps.

Hal

Hal, Thanks a bunch buddy. That egauges web site is just what I needed. They have a pretty comprehensive selection and all of the hardware to go with it. As you said, the prices are great. Thanks again, regards

Larry

A little late, but perhaps of interest. I purchased all of my VDO guages by phone from eguages. The parent company is Don's Sport Vehicle Sales in Detroit. I recommend them highly. They are know their product and are a pleasure to deal with. No, I have no business interest with them - just like to deal with straight up folks.
Good luck with your guage project. MikeH

Just got a call from Egauges as they wanted to know how I was going to mount my pyro (drill and tap). They also said that they thought that I got the last VDO Vision Pyro in the country! What is up with that?

Hello

Ordered a Vision pyro a couple days ago (from eguages) and was told he had to call all over to find one, that he had sold more in the last couple months than in the last few years.
Told him it was probly from this list.

Why not look at the US gear series sold through Camping World? I bought mine 2 years ago and they are still performing well. They are rebranded Isspro guages with the US Gear logo on them.
All three guages <pyro, boost, and auto transmission temp gauge> cost around 200$ and include all hardware and sending units. I also purchased a 3 gauge pod from Diesel performance and had it painted to match my interior. They do look sweet.
