take a look at the new concept VW pickup..... go to www.vw.com, click models, then concept vehicles, then the AAC (Advanced Activity Concept). 5. 0 liter V-10 diesel with about 180 Hp and 500 lb-ft of torque, if my conversions are somewhat close. COOL TRUCK!!!

Yes, and the TDIs are excellent diesel engines, I can vouch for that! Actually, assuming you're looking at the 230 kW/750 n-m V-10 TDI, I believe the conversion figures are more like 313 hp/553 ft-lbs torque.



VW will market a SUV based on the AAC concept truck in the next year or two. It'll be called the "Touareg" (however you pronounce that!). Whether we'll see the V-10 TDI in the USA is questionable, although according to this article, the diesel will "likely" be offered. It probably won't be until we get the ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel though (2006).
