VE 44 Pump Overhaul

Some time ago on this board, someone shared their good experience in getting a Bosch pump overhauled. I have lost the name and number of the Bosch factory repair facility, but believe it was in Ft Worth area, and the name started with the letter M. Can anyone help jog my memory?

Thanks, close, and just may well be able to get the job done, but not the one I was looking for.

In comparison shopping, labor for rebuild can vary from $379 to $1000.

You win the prize for sure Paychk, that was it exactly. It is hell to get old and can't remember stuff, but is so rewarding when someone who is more alert can and does help you out. I tried the search but failed.

I had talked with these people, they sure seem like professionals, and the only ones that had a positive attitude. Most indicated that it was so old they probably could not get parts for it, etc. This place said they have ALL the parts and can do it quickly and properly.

Don did they say what the charge would be for a re-build?

Don, just a suggestion but make sure they replace the two large return springs for the cam/roller ring assmbly when they're in there. If they "thing they are ok" get them done anywaY... .

Paychk: OK, thanks to you both. They quoted me $379 labor, I expect to spend at least that much more for parts (my idea, not theirs).
