WELL... we are finally getting around to doing it!

Help I need to know a wireing info on my 90 gen 1

im not shure if its not wired correct or what

the sylenoid on the bottom of the pump i assume is the cold start , and the one on top is the fuel sylenoid , how should they be wired ?

im getting fuel and smoke but no fire yet .

Im not shure if its out of time or ? , the motor was in a head on wreck that

broke the balancer and the trust bearing , i replaced those parts the balancer and main bearings all new :)

Any ideas , maybe my junk batterys are not cranking fast enough to make fire , any ideas ???

Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In your sig, you show a '92. It should be exactly the same. The solenoid on top is the shutdown. Just give that 12V to open it. Are you getting fuel spraying if you crack an injector line while cranking? If yes, and the stack is smoking, then it will fire if you have enough cranking speed and timing is good. Do you have a book?

I need a cummins book , my chiltons book is a joke , im also need to prime the oil pump were ever i do that , the 350 cummins is a lot easier,

i got it to fire but not getting any fuel yet so its air or the lift pump ????

i might try to presureize the system some how , still not getting enough fuel yet , or enough pressure

thanks

Mine cranked and smoked when I first filled the fuel system. Try another purge of the system at the injectors. Air can be in one of your lines still. Your not try to start it with jumper cables?

Woops. Just looked at your signature. If you own all those vehicles your certainly know about purging air and hard wiring a battery. Sorry. FWIW MIne did have air in it and was a slight pain to get it out and then it ran fine.

I got oil pressure pulled the cover off the front , pump has a minor rough spot were kit turns hard , but seem normal like some small and big block mopar stuff i have it is not suppose to turn rough in a spot some one speak up , heres my prob lem still

i got no fuel pressure 5 of the injector lines just spurt while the very back one just pours out with no effort any ideas ?????????????

also on my pump it has what appears to be a second throttel lever any ideas of what this ???????, my 92 dont seem to have it

is my injectors screwed or the pump messed up or a bad lift pump

HELP Please !!!!!!!!!!!! thanks

I don't know about the oil pump. Just that you need to monitor pressure on start up, and oil and/or presssure has nothing to do with starting the engine (as with some other, more modern engines) . The second lever should be for a manual engine shutdown. make sure this is in the correct position or this could be one of your problems.

If you say that you are getting different quality sprays out of each injector line, you likely have pump or injector issues.

Back when I had my '92, I used to spin on a dry fuel filter whenever I did a filter change, then I would open the bleeder screw, then (making sure the lift pump was off cam) I would fill the filter to test the pump performance. It always filled up in a few strokes.
