Anyone ever play with the delivery valves inside their VE pump?

It makes a sweet jump in power on the P-Pumps... ... and I figured the same would be true on the VE pump.

I remember seeing that someone here switched them out, and all he noticed was more smoke and EGT. But it was a while back; dont think we'd cleared 400hp with a VE yet. I was kind of thinking about the same thing, but dont have the money to do it; wont dream about what I cant have. One thing to consider is the lower pressure of the VE vs the P7100. So we may be at max fuel delivery from the DVs already. In other words, delivery valves may not be so limiting in out trucks. ????

Just think what would have happened if he could have burnt all that fuel?!

What part of the delivery valve do you modify and how much?

Matt can you post pictures or illistrations that would help A poor beginning but future hopfull bomber to get it right the first time?

;)

thanks Eric

Update:

I have the pump (failed VP-44)... . and will be taking apart the necessary bits inside of it ASAP.
