When the top is removed to install the gov. spring, can I remove the foot lever doo hickey to increase fuel? If so, I would like to try it instead of just "grinding" a little off. My original plan was to buy a KTA 14 mm pump head but if I cannot find someone to do the change over for me before the next dyno day, I might try this for a temporary hp increase. :)

Any info would be appreciated.

Yes,

I have experimented with removing the lever entirely. You will have essentially bypassed the entire AFC. It has some advantages and disadvantages.

My lever is currently in and the AFC is "partially" dissasembled. I like that method best, but yes, you can take the lever out or cut it off.

Thanks for the link. I did not see where he circled the "foot lever" though. I will have to try this out.
