ve pump?

I have a tractor that has a bosch ve pump and the tractor is using oil, could there be anyway it could be sucking oil through th IP? I never checked compression but it starts real easy and seems to have good power. it smokes some on startup and little when you tap the throttle.

Negative on that! The case is pressurized on the VE, so oil can't get in. It's also not oil lubed like a P-pump. If a seal goes, you'll have fuel in the base.

I would suspect the turbo, if it has one, or valve seals. Or an external leak.

thanks, I did not think that it could but I dont know much about mechanics. I knew there was no oil feed line to the pump. It does not have a turbo either.
