Delo 400 XLE - Anyone using it?

Diesel Deep Clean

I bought a truck that has a Veg Power system installed. I have not run it yet because until I know more of what I have I am nervous to use it. What can you tell me about it? It has a filter by the airdog. It has a heater, as well as a purge switch on the on switch. There are kinds of hoses and such under the hood as well. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

French fry oil has to be kept hot. Local guy used to commute 60 miles daily with restaurant oil. 6000' here and cold winters. I'm sure he has some stories. Will ask if I see him and post. Good luck

Thanks. The kit that is on my truck has a built in heater with gauge and heater lines. This is a really complete kit that was several thousand dollars from what I found...which hasn't been much. I just want to get all the info before I try to use it.

Or that is why the previous owner sold it. moabsystems you didn't say what year year the truck is. You must carefully weigh the risks vs any potential benefits. Research the downsides to the WVO and make an informed decision. Imo the costs of damaging a HPCR system is not worth the perceived benefits. Might be worthwhile on an older truck, but there are still risks. There are plenty of examples where guys dabble in alt fuels, post how great it's going and how much they saving (though they rarely have an accurate handle on their real costs) and then just disappear. No doubt they sell truck and some unsuspecting person buys their screwed up headache. Here is an example of the risks and heartache alt fuels can cause: https://www.turbodieselregister.com...to-replace-fuel-system!?p=2106411#post2106411 And another "WVO no more-My Tragic Greaser Story": http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=186108

When making your decision to run an alt fuel be brutally honest with yourself if you can precisely follow all the instructions and procedures that are required to safely run it.... every single time..... without ever cutting corners or making a mistake. And if you cannot find the original manufacturer of the kit or if they do not have detailed instructions available, that should be a red flag.
