Joe should have all the data, but Axekicker's bone-stock y2k had a solid 195 w/a 200 peak... Now he has a baseline to measure from... Mine had a solid 240, with a 250 peak... didn't get to stay later, so missed HVAC (WICKED TRUCKONIFIED!) and Joe D. when they ran theirs... I think (MHO) Nowell's red rocket breaks 300 just sitting there, not running!... need to re-visit that mathematical formula to get torque numbers. the dyno's computer gave HP #'s only... rm

------------------
BOMBed 98. 4 1B7KF23D4WJxxxxxx-- BD's #5 plate and x-honed injectors--BD Brake and the associated transmission bomb goodies (except for TC,currently). . many homemade non-power accessories, 4" open exhaust(short)... big hole and old Scotty Air system(will eventually get Psychotty cannon, I suspect) camper shell, Warn front receiver, G159Unisteels on Rickson 19. 5's. . CD player is bone stock, so are the seats. PrimeLoc, also remote spin-on filter for the auto trans... Pyro Boost and Trans temp from Isspro,
Westin nerf rails(black),
bent welding rod to hang celphone on dashboard...

HVAC ran 595 hp. Would have been over 600 at sea level.

On my stock ETH I gained near 80hp with the EZ Box. I'll post more detail later.

Well, just got back Lotta driving today, bout 10 hours including the burger/bathroom breaks.

On the otherhand, although I will need Dr. Donnelly to explain what happened, my new fuel system showed results on the dyno!! I'm rather STOKED about that. This may be as simple as the age old axiom-fuel = power. I will need to back up the results on another dyno, but I am now running at 400(was 350) hp in street trim, 500(was 450) with the propane, and 600(was 550) with the Power
Edge on. Please note that we achieved 586. 1 hp without the Nos! This is about 36 hp over my previous best, short of the Nos(new solonoid isn't hooked up). Could this be due to the improved fuel supply???? I get 50 ponies from the Nos so this means that an ISB engine(with the Nos operable) has entered the
stratosphere(over 600 hp) @ 636 horsepower!!!

You twin dozen valvers out there stand tall. We don't take a performance back seat anymore. Can I get an AMEN!!

Guess we shattered 400 hp Bob! #ad

I have to acknowledge RichM's exhaust which I did not check out closely. All I can say is that I NEED to check it out closely. From a distance it looked and sounded BOMBed! #ad

Howdy, Nowell. Glad to see you made it back to your "home station"---my exhaust is just a simple BD 4" downtube, followed by 4" straight-stock, then a mandrel-bent 4" 45* elbow. that immediately goes to a 4"-5" reducer, and emptys out thru a 5"dia stainless "stinger" with a 45* "baloney" cut. system's a "shorty" like yours, exiting forward of the rear wheel. Makes room for my "proper sized" spare in the stock location and leaves no room (yeah, right) for a "cat" or muffler... Yours is a vicious-looking system, without a doubt---rm

As everyone knows that went to Los Wages the dyno was only measuring speed and HP. Here are a few formulas that may help.

HP/Torque
        hp = rpm x torque/
              5252
        torque = 5252 x hp/
                rpm

This was a great event. Alot of people, alot of time, and ALOT of horse power. On two runs I avraged a 208hp, with a high of 213hp. This is with a stock 2001 ETH 3500. I also calculated my max tourqe as 469. 77 ft-lbs @ 2191rpm. If anyone is interested I typed up a excel spreadsheet to calculate the tourqe and RPM. If I can find some web space somewhere I'll put it up for download. Have to go to work, I'll post again latter.

Edit: Found signature was out of date.

dawns on me that the max torques from our trusty I-6's happen in the mid-to high "teens". I wonder if the Dynojet machine could capture this reading properly if the transmission (auto or manual) was in "high-lock" at the lowest practical wheel speed, and then begin the reading. Hammer the "loud pedal" from there and we'd get a better range of operating speeds.

F'r instance... my graph was from 65-ish Mph up to 105, but nothing in the 35-65 range. In O/D,locked, (after much calculation, starting at axle-center height, which I refer to as "effective radius") I determined that each 100rpm (on mine with 3. 54's and the Ricksons) equals 3. 45mph. According to this my max torque should have been readable somewhere between 40 and 50mph, which was missed. (even with what I could read, I calculated my minimum torque at 450lbft, way up at 98mph/2800rpm) woo-hoo! As I go down the mph, and, therefore, down the rpms, my max observable torque was 568 at about 2200. WOO-HOO!! I still wonder where the real max is, but I bet it's 600+ (to the ground!!)

Is there a math formula to extrapolate the mystery numbers, or strictly by observation?

For a quick calc use 2. 15 ft. lbs. of torque per hp. Me: 600 hp = 1280 ft lbs of torque #ad
Typical shopping cart math me boys! #ad

Had a great time meeting everyone. I got there at 7:55am and was wondering if I missread the calander, but I was right as soon as a few trucks rolled in. Left Victorville at 5:00am, not bad for a Saturday cruise. Well I wish I had a baseline for my truck, but my numbers came to 244hp @ 75mph this is a Calif. truck 180hp w/auto trans and 4:10 rears with 235 tires. The only mods I have are a #8 plate, Amsoil from stem to stern maybe good for a few hp. Hope to do this again after some more bombing sessions. Hope everyone had a great time, see you all @ Glen Thomas.

2. 15x240= 516?? seems a bit conservative, since I had a calculated 568lbft when I was 600rpm over the theoretical peak #ad

My engine is rated @ 235 hp and 460 torque. These are flywheel numbers. The HO ETH is rated at 245 and 500 torque. Just an example of the relationship of HP ~ torque.

Our figures are theroretical in the absence of a rpm pick up on the dyno. Feel free to use whatever works for you.

I'd like to thank Joe D. for putting on this event as I had lots of fun meeting everyone and watching the trucks run. My ETH made 354 hp which I wasn't all that happy with, and Lance Groft's '94 auto made 343 hp which made him very satisfied. It was a shame about Mr Bob's truck and I hope he'll be on the road again soon. The Dr. P truck was very disappointing.

Sounds like a great time. I would much rather have tried out my new clutch in Vegas with all you guys instead of the septo-plasti surgery (nose surgery) I had on Tuesday. Still in recovery and can barley sit in front of the puter #ad
. Hopefully I can make it to the long beach get-together. Haven’t driven my truck for 5 days know and I'm really jonesen man. The wife say's "you have a choice, either the pain pills or the truck" Damm!t, gimmy the pills woman #ad
. 400+ hp and pain pill don’t mix #ad

BHORNERIS,

Maybe the pain pills are blurren my vision but its my understanding that the EZ adds 60 HP to the rear wheels. Your dyno readings reflect a 36 HP increase #ad
. It was great meeting you at Jim’s and I enjoyed our lunch together. Done any U-turns in the middle of intersections lately LOL.

Cliff
Actually I had 85 hp increaqse at 1800 rpms.
130 vs 215. See my prior post for more info. I do need a little more U turn practice. You up for it? E-ail me about your McLeod. Mine is going in on the 29th.
