A guy I work with (owns on 01 CTD) was saying today that he was going to run vegetable oil in his truck. Just right from the store, pour it in.

Does that make sense? I realize Bio is vegtable oil, though it's been processed... or is that just to clean used vegetable oil?

He was saying he can get 5 gallon jugs for a few dollars.

Nate, go to www.greasel.com to find out about veggie oil. It is NOT recommended for the VP-44, because you have to pre-heat it to burn it,(too thick) and we all know what heat does to the 44! I have looked into it at length, and decided against it, even though Idaho has the most expensive diesel anywhere :D

Tom

It's worse than that in southern Oregon, $3. 23 is what they are extorting around here.

I'll stick with my biodiesel :)

Straight Veggie oil (SVO) will work just fine in warm to hot weather but Greasel lost the VP44 on their test truck because of an electronic failure caused buy the heated oil.

I'll let him know about that.

I was thinking of getting B20 mix, but the only place I found was in Boise... Baird Fuels I believe.

But they only deal with commericial accounts. When I asked what it took to be a commercial account, the lady said she didn't know and hung up on me. I talked to someone else later on and they weren't too sure, and had no idea what the price was.

So they sell bio, but they don't know how people buy it?
