I spent many years driving vehicles that were not comfortable in cold weather....so I REALLY appreciate having a vehicle where the engineers did their job and did it well.....
All other nameplates (including other GM brands) should take lessons from whomever designed the HVAC in Hoopty, the Cadillac. It should be mandatory!!!
-27 this morning, and I drove 63 miles in absolute comfort wearing only dress pants, a tee-shirt and a long sleeve shirt over that. I was toasty warm at all times....no jacket, gloves, hats or any of that while driving.....all vehicles should be like this. I have a 2008 Yukon with climate control and it is not as spot on as the Cadillac unit. Have to tinker with the settings.
I set Hoopty at 75 degrees when I bought it four years ago and maybe I've had to change it a dozen time temporarily in weird weather conditions. Other than that it is never adjusted....
When you stop and consider that I'm asking that vehicle to compensate for a temperature difference of just over 100 degrees it's really remarkable. Windows stay clear even. Heater blower running about medium speed, no more than that.
This is a vehicle that is almost 12 years old with just under 200,000 miles on the clock.....
I say "Well Done Cadillac!!!"....
