I went to take a peek at the 03's today and, as usual, I got some young kid salesman, who didn't know his head from his anus. Why do they let people sell $40K vehicles without knowing anything about them? We were looking at a 2500 w/the auto, because that's all they had, and this kid was dead set that it was rated at 265 hp. And to make matters worse, he's trying to tell me that the H. O. has 335 hp. I didn't feel like trying to convince him otherwise, so I just let it go. :-{} I knew better from reading about the new motors in here and elsewhere; however, for some unexpecting customer, they're more likely to go with what the salesman tells them. This is not the first time I have experienced this level of incompetence and I'm sure it will not be the last. I just wish the dealerships would take the time to educate their people before turning them on the public.
On a side note, I hate that when ever you get into a vehicle to do a test drive, the fuel gauge always shows empty. The 2500 I was looking at had the fuel light on and the needle burried. I told the kid he should get some fuel in the truck real soon and he just acted surprised. At that point I figured forget the test drive, just get me out of here.
