I'm going to try to install my new Velvet-Ride shackles this weekend. The instructions say to torque to the manufacturer's specifications. Does anyone know what those specs might be?

THis is per the Haynes repair manual.
6010 to 7500 GVW
1994-1995 100 ft-lbs
1996+ 150 ft-lbs

8800 to 11000 GVW
1994-1995 140 ft-lbs
1996+ 210 ft-lbs

When I put them on my 94 I just tightened the he!! out of them and checked them after a few miles on the road.

The ride difference is noticable. Your 3/4 or 1 ton truck is not going to ride like a Cadillac however. It does takes a lot of the bounce out of the ride. I've read about the monster expansion joints you guys have on the leftist coast and not sure how they would work on those things. But for $150, it's worth the money you put into it. IMO

Just for a little background, the shackles were installed on a 1994 3/4 ton regular cab long bed truck. Another factor is I replaced all the shocks while I was under the truck so that may have had something to do with the ride inprovement.
