Vent AirFlow Direction

Prob. ... help plz. 2003 H/O



The air only flows through the dash vents no matter what setting the knob is on. However, when its set to recirc the panel closes off the air from the outside and when its on defrost/floor or windshield only the compressor kicks on as it should. also the air flows both hot and cold. the arm that controls the flow down in the spider broken? And how much to fix... . ok I'm sittin down..... i tried unpluggin and re-pluggin the electrical connector by the fan to no avail... . Thanks

Basically one of your HVAC "doors" is broken. The dealer has updated parts that they will attempt to solve the problem with.

I had the same door as you break and the dealer fixed it 3 years ago, it's held up fine since then. They have had somewhat less succes fixing the other (recirc) door but it sounds like that one is still working fine for you (my recirc door has never broken either).
