:confused:Do any of you know anything about this merger? I have been a verizon customer for the last 7 years and remain with them because my whole family is with them and it's free to talk to them. That stull does not mean that I don't get screwed by them constantly by talking to a few of my friends who are not verizon. Alltell has the circle of friends thing that I would love to have and was hoping verizon would adopt something similar but have not done so yet. I know the two have merged in some way and was hoping one of you would have a little insight and could help me out.

Far as I know all the merger will effect is the towers the companies will use for signal. I made the switch from Verizon to Alltel or Notel about a year ago. I would stick with Verizon they have much better customer service and better signal strength everywhere I have traveled execpt where I live of course! If Verizon comes back to KS like it was a few years ago I will sign on again.

In my area its about a wash as far as signal goes. Plans will stay the same for existing customers. I don't know how this will affect new customers. I have an Alltel myself because everyone I talk to on a regular basis either has Alltel and is free to talk to or is in my circle and also free.

I left Notel because their service was horrible. I now have verizon. I was told that artound Dec the verizon "take over" would begin. I'm not really sure what that means though.

my ****ty ex gf was an alltel customer and she got a letter telling her the two had merged but no details..... I have been with 3 companies and have found that they all rip you off...
