I have a constant squeak coming from the driver's side front brake. The squeak is continuous and only goes away as you apply the brakes. I jacked the front end off the ground and the passenger side tire seems to rotate much easier than the driver's side. There is plenty of pad left, but it appears that the inner pad is about 1/3 less than the outer pad. Is it possible that the inner piston isn't releasing or the pad isn't moving freely? I'm getting ready to take it in under warranty, but I'd like some ideas before I go in. Thanks!

Sounds like you have a "stuck" caliper, causes draging on the rotor. They most likely will just replace it with a new or reman unit.

I agree with the "stuck" caliper deal.

I had a squeal with the exact symptoms you describe, except the uneven wearing between pads. I replaced my pads with Performance Friction pads from NAPA and I have no more squeal.

The Anti-Rattle Clip on the brake pad may have partially come off and is scapping on the tire rim. Look at it from the underside and see if you have a line in the steel rim.

I had one not to long ago. Worst sound I ever heard on a truck.

If you have 45k or more on your truck the front brakes may be due. Check the inside pad. Thats the one the worn out first on mine. Part number for the Anti Rattle Clip is 5015255AA.
