60,000 miles and time to replace the front end components. I know therrer have been many discussions on this subject, but what is the very best option, factory upgrade or aftermarket? 2006 3500 dually.
60,000 That's aout the low average depending on how you use the truck. I do alot of towing wich leads to alot of backing trailers with a lot of low speed steering My linkage was starting to get loose. I did the 08 steering up grade when it first came out. I also had one of the few that had the re-called steering box tierod end. The kit has held up very well, outlasted the stock stuff. The best thing about the new er system is that your toe in adjustments don't change as the truck bounces. I understand that Moog now makes all the parts for the 08 and I understand that they offer grease fittings. I'd also install the steering box stableizer GENO's has them for a good price. You'd be very suprised how much flex there is in the chassie and steering box.
