We bought a Case IH L630 tractor,
I don't want to mess with a tuner the power is actually OK, its I was expecting more? than what it is. You must have been through the Circle city the roads are worse than when our B 52's laid down a "Carpet Bombing" run in South East Asia.
Now that I really haven't a need to go into indy the roads aren't nearly as riddled with "REVERSE or INVERTED SPEED BUMPS" Hwy 231 was just Chip Sealed, besides being a mess it took them forever to get it done 10 miles from town to State Rd 36 A WEEK??? They turned East towards Rockville who knows how long that stretch will take?I believe ALL government inspectors and others who approve and inspect road work should have no less than a 4x4 1 ton, unloaded, issued to them.
Been all over The USA over the years and just locally: several people lined up on the side of the road with blowouts from a tire eating pot hole to seeing a V8 monster trike go "flying" over a onramp road bump (expansive soil and/or heat expansion heaving). Laughed for a second (the fellow keeping control while 3' above the seat while using 3 lanes WAS impressive) till I caught air over the same bump in a 1 ton.
I should stop here before this gets moved to politics over the neglect of infrastructure that made The U.S.A. a Superpower...
Who did you talk to at MADS, and when? The Touch has supported 13+ C&C trucks since its release in 2014.
The Touch specifically advertises 13+ C&C trucks.
Support for MY17 C&C trucks was released on Nov 28th 2016.
For Big's use, I would recommend a MM3 and a VERY mild custom tune thou. It would be easy to get a little more power and less EGR, without sacrificing anything.
Ron,
Look at the news link, as that’s is where the most current info is posted.
You will see that 13+ C&C has been supported since the release of the Touch in 2014, and as I stated above MY17 has been supported since Nov 28th of 2016.
Your truck is certainly supported and has been for nearly 3 years.
Just wondering about Red-dye its that in some places there IS NO FUEL STATIONS for DAYS it seems. If needed I will use Red rather than run out. looking at a bed tank for filling field equipment
I’ve had 3,000 more lbs on my drive axle than what your entire GVWR was on your 2004.5....Im sorry for knowing much about the 2014 I can't really say to much about it BECAUSE I DONT KNOWI didn't get to have input when it was ordered for my use in Montana and after being stranded in the middle of nowhere I didn't have much desire to get involved with it. Until Monday Ive been left with NO time to investigate any of the specs other than it being a 2014 CC 5500 Laramie. Now that my only task in my day is to wake up, breath and scratch ill need to get with it on the truck.
The truck is absolutely gorgeous, aluminum rims the interior makes my Stock 04.5 SLT (except the trans) look shabby in comparison its a lot more quiet than the 04. I cant tell about MPG the difference between MT & IN is immense I usually keep track of MPG so I can tell if something may be going south mechanically. Ill be needing this truck more now that I'm working for the family hauling equipment around for a new endeavor growing alfalfa for our livestock, Daughters & Granddaughters horses to Cross Country jumping events.
