Very Sick Truck!!!!!!!!

I fueled my truck yesterday, 270 miles and 31 gallons of fuel!! 8. 71 mpg!!! :--)

I started noticing a new noise in the engine, kind sounds like a spark knock, not consistent. Has gotten rather gutless and power less. Sounds like a air leak under the hood when under a load. I have checked the after cooler, has plastic ends and appears to be in tack, all clamps are tight. When I started it after setting about 20 minutes, it went to about 1250 rpm for approx. 15 seconds and returned to idle. No check engine light. The dealer said nothing in the computer, nothing wrong, can not fix something that is not broke. :-{} Have appointment with another dealer Thursday. Anybody have similar experiences?? Any clues??

I'd watch your oil. You may have a stuck injector, that could wash-down diesel through the cylinder into the oil. That could explain the horrible noise and poor mileage. If you get a diesel small, or raising level in the oil, I'd have it towed.

Make sure you have your fuel system completely flushed and have the injectors checked by a Dodge dealer and save your receipts; Shell re-imbursed me for my repairs AND I saw the repairs to a Ford diesel that had fueled at the same station - his bill (again paid by Shell) was over $5,000.
