vhf radio where to buy? what do you recomend?

i want to put a vhf radio in my car cause we use those for hunting but the little handhold unit isnt workin in the car. . but somwhere ive read that cb/vht can kill my engine think i read it was somthing about quadzilla.



i have cummin 610 3g truck with smarty and a quadzilla fooler.



what vhf should i get? is there antennas with radio and vhf in the same?

or do i need to put one more antenna (i use my fm stereo alot)

the price vs quality would be nice if somone helped me with. .

the size doesent matter so much but a small one would always be a advantage!

I have a Vertex VHF and an older Motorola UHF in my '05. No issues with killing the engine. THe Vertex is a nice, fairly compact unit. We also use some Kenwood units. I put both antennas on the roof.

my truck is doing abit offroading somtimes when working with our forest maschines so i cant mount anything on the roof. . it just luck that my lights is still mounted behind the cab
