Took my new truck with 1800 miles on it in to see what the deal with the visibly wobbling stock chrome clad rear wheels to Carson City Dodge in Nevada....
Result???
I get the familiar warranty call " Couldn't find anything wrong changed the rear end oil"!!!!! your good to go....... LOL God Love em.....
Had no choice but to call FCA and request a case number. I also rescheduled visit number 2 for tuesday so my four visits are on count down. The service writer was a real nice kid but fell into a gaze when I mentioned things like "Dial Meter" and "Lateral Runout". I wanted to meet the tech who worked on it but I figured why???
So I just shot off an email to the service manager to notify him after the oil change to combat wobble deal that "I don't feel comfortable driving it" and "I feel its not safe to drive" (key words in arbitration) I even attached a YouTube videowww.youtube.com showing the whole procedure for checking axel runout. I also asked him to give me a time so I can come buy pick him up and let him drive and gaze at the left rear tire and rim. I mean I was taken to think the service tech can't see this. I guess as long as your under 3 thousandths your good. The right might come in but the left is way over 3.....
What? dodge dealers aren't set up for axel work? Did I get a lube oil and filter guy?
This is getting good, I love this truck. If only I can get it fixed......
