I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that when I am going kind of slow and turn the wheel left or right that it vibrates alittle. Its like I can feel something not really loose but like something is getting there!! Does anybody have any ideas, I hope I have described it good enough! It does not feel like it is in the steering parts but it feels like I got something like a stabilizer or some of the links down below loose, but I have been under it and cannot move anything by hand anyway!

I also feel this problem when I drive, and it happens significantly more when it is cold outside. Sometimes in the winter it can get so bad that I not only feel it but also hear it in the cab. I also have not been able to figure it out, but would be interested if anyone had any ideas on how to repair it.

Power steering pump? How is the fluid? Maybe want to change out the fluid for some synthetic?

I have had good luck with the Valvoline PS fluid. Smooth turning wheel, no groans when its cold out.

vssman,

I have been under the front of the truck and could not move anything by hand, but that does sound like it could be the problem! I will have to do a little more investigating on that situation, thank you!

Jack up the front end & put in on stands. With the steering wheel unlocked turn it to one side and try to spin each tire by hand. If it's the u-joints, then the whole hub must come off to get at the axle. It can be difficult depending on how long you've been riding around on salty roads. good luck.
