Vibration And Hum

TDR FANS: I got a problem with mu 03 TRUCK... . AT IDLE IT MAKES A HUM AND VIBRATES A SLIGHT BIT, WHEN I STEP ON THE FOOT FEED IT GOES AWAY. WHEN IM GOING DOWN THE ROAD IF I LET UP ON THE FUEL IT HUMS, THE SECOND I APPLY A BIT OF PRESSURE TO THE FOOT FEED IT GOES AWAY. . IS THERE ANY FIX FOR THIS , IS THIS COVERED ANYWHERE IN OUR TDR AND IF SO WHAT DO I TYPE IN TO PULL IT UP????MY TRUCK IS A 03 . HO Engine , AUTOMATIC TRANY,LONG BED , STOCK, 15, 000 MILES THIS NOISE WAS IN THE TRUCK WHEN I BOUGHT IT NEW... THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. . HAPPY TDRING... ... RADAR DOCTOR

Could be rear end noise. Could also be some resonance in the exhaust. Does it happen more when it's cold?



If it's as slight as you imply it sounds like normal gear whine to me.

hi RB, Good to see you in here. . No , cold or hot its the same, Im wondering if its that new fuel injection system that came out to make these things quiet... ??Like i say it a low freq hum sitting stil give it a bit of fuel it quits. if using the cruse it will hum when cruse isn't asking for more fuel to keep speed up but when it does it quits . . thanks for replying RB... radar Doc
