What would you pull a 18k 5er with?

Fifth wheel hitch upgrade questions

I TOW A 40 GOOSENECK FLATBED WITH A 2500 5SPD 4WD. AT 60 MPH WITH THE TRAILER EMPTY, I HAVE A BOUNCING PROBLEM - MY WHOLE TRUCK SHAKES. THIS CONITNUES UNTIL I REACH ABOUT 63 MPH. I HAVE HAD THE TIRES BALANCED ON THE TRAILER AND TRUCK. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?

Draymorris,

I dont know how it would apply to your 4x4, but I would suggest checking every bushing, ball joint etc. My 93 4x2 had a vibration, and I got an alignment, tires balanced, etc. Turns out I have two lower control arm bushings bad. The shop missed that. I have yet to get it done, but the first shop missing that has cost me quite a bit of PITA. Also might check out your shocks. How long have you had the trailer? If there is not enough tongue weight (or hitch weight in you rcase), it will wreak havoc on the driving.

Just a few thoughts.

Daniel
