vibration damper?

I was reading my owners manual (pg. 96) last night (bed time story)Oo. :-laf and in the 24,000 miles maintenance it sad to check the vibration damper??what/where is it? how do I check it?? I thing It needs adjusting?

they must have been reffering to the engine dampner. but what you are to check for beats me, maybe just make sure the bolts are tight.

The Damper is actually 2 pieces pressed together with a rubber ring in between. Check to make sure the rubber has not deteriated and is still a solid piece. Any movement found, I would replace it.



PS: I looked till I was blue in the face for a good aftermarket Viscous damper ( Fluidamper) for the B5. 9. Nothing out there.

On the front of the engine ... if there is any sign of the rubber bulging out ... or movment . . replace it
