Boy this one has got me. I have BFG 315 Tires, Stock Rims, Rancho 9000X shocks. Sometimes when I hit a washboard one of the tires keeps jumping... causing a ton of vibration. Will go away when I slow down. I have had all four shocks replaced, two tires replaced and it is still happening. I had all four tires road force balanced... still does it.

Feels like a shock problem but I got them cranked up to about 4-5 and still bounces and now it rides like a buck board wagon.

Any Ideas???

Get your tires trued.

This will smooth out your ride and you will get more miles out of the tires.

I had a year of pure heck trying to fix a bad vibration even after Goodyear swapping the tires with new ones. This was on a new 94 Ram. Dodge was going to do a buy back! It was that bad.

The place that trued the tires said it was very common to have out of round tires. They also said that some trucks are more sensitive to this than others.

I must say it was great to see my dealer stand behind me and do what it took to get my problem taken care of.

Hope this helps.

I have tried 50 psi, 45 psi, 30 psi, 38 psi, 55psi. I have tried high and low... seems the lower the less bounce. But it still does it.

Where do you get the tires trued?

Talk to a good tire shop and they should be able to tell you.

If you are up for a long drive, the place that did mine is in Reno.

The place that trued my tires is a brake an alignment shop.

I recommend that you get on the phone and start calling around till you find someone that can get er done.

Get rid of your tires I have them and I hate them. . I have had 6 bad 315 bfg at's go bad on my truck... Thank you road hazard warranty. . Discount tire claims 2 out of 4 are bad from the factory.

When I buy tires, I make them accept a "true tire" or none when installed. I watch them balance the tire. If it is out of round, they have to get me another one.

My tires balanced fine, it was after driving on them the tread would fall off in chunks and the belts would brake inside the tire. I used to tell people about this and they would say "bfg's are good tires". Now more people are finding out about the unreliability of this tire.

I have to agree on the quality of the tires... two were so far off they were unable to road force balance them. Also I am hearing bad things about the shocks... I have already had three defective Rancho 9000X shocks... and now I think I have another one defective.

Thinking about switching to the Bilstein shocks... or the T-Rex system... man that's a lot of cash... . anyone done the Bilsteins on the 2003 with the 3 inch lift?

Have you tried talking to Kent at T-Rex? He might know of a solution without having to spend a lot of money, even if its not his system.

I had a vibration issue also. Thought it was the tire balance or shocks or steering stabilizer. None of the above. Bad ball joints. Have them checked!
