Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Vibration w/ I let out on the clutch

I went and test drove a 97 ext. cab 2wd 5spd truck w/ almost 200k on the clock this afternoon and I noticed during the test drive when I would let out on the clutch I could feel a vibration in the clutch pedal and steering wheel. I imagine I probably wont buy the truck since the dealer has been running it with a new cam plate and injectors for the last year hauling cars w/o gauges, but I am still curious as to what might have caused the vibration.



Was kind of funny when he tried to tell me it would run better than my 94 after I told him what it dynoed. :-laf

flywheel is warped... . caused by heat, it is an easy fix replace clutch, flywheel and pressure plate

sounds like it might be a good canidate for a 6 spd. swap if one was to replace the flywheel and clutch.

Or just buy a Gear Vendor's for 1/2 the price and get twice the reduction! :-laf

One would still have to mess w/ the 5th gear nut.

What is a gear venders Just had a brand new clutch put in Mine shaked too when letting out the clutch, guy told me it was the clutch that the clutch had not seated to the flywheel yet and shure nuff about 1,000 miles latter it quit and I can shift it smooth as a button now.
