Anyone added a navigation system?

Drive easy for GPM now or drive harder for faster break-in?

I have replaced almost everything chasing a vibration under my Duallie. If anyone has an idea please Chime in. I have replaced all the u-joints,carrier bearing and ball joints, rotated tires, put on new front shocks and still vibrates starting at 65 and up. I'am open for any sugestions. thanks

usually any vibe over 55 mph. means rear tires. i would have them spun balanced with a good balancer. good luck, joe.

Hi, new guy here. I have a vibration at a slower speed. A little vibe at 40mph under light throttle and at 50 in OD under light throttle. Almost like a slight bounce not realy a vibration. I do get a vibration under heavy throttle at 65mph. I think the converter in lockup is chattering. Any input would be great.

Thanks, Lee

maybe your traction bars are too tight and set up an axle vibration??

you need to explain where you feel your vibe, in floor, steering, does it go away if you shift to neutral at that speed, etc...

or is it a springless clutch that sets up a driveline vibration...

re

this is on my 2004 dually not the puller. Sorry i have not updated my sig in a while. I can feel it in the floor after I get up to 65 mph and higher. I have not tried the lift thing yet. I guess thats next.

Redram 1:

I had exactly the same problem in my '81 Chev 1-ton crewcab dual-rear wheel long bed. After doing all the same things that you have done, it turned out to be 3 things: A slightly out-of-round steel wheel, which I replaced; an original cast-iron rear brake drum/wheel that was slightly heavier on one side than the other (those things weigh about 150 lbs each), which I replaced; and the difficulty of getting two wheels that run together (2 on each side) perfectly balanced so that ALL vibration was eliminated. Once the first two things were discovered and fixed, MOST of the vibration did disappear. But I never got rid of 100% of it, only about 95% of it.

Ummm, the vibs are a "normal" condition for the 03/04s... I had to install the dynatrac kit to get rid of them... it was something in the tcase a far as I could track it... mine was there since new... it never got any better. A lot of these truck had this issue...

Do a search on vibrations... there are a lot of "fixes"... keeping the fornt driveline from turning was the only thing that helped mine... some of the fixes: balancing both driveshafts, swapping driveshafts, drivetrain "alignment", etc.
