Has anybody had a serious vibration in second gear under load?

If you are starting in second gear from a stop with a load..... your in the wrong gear and will get a vibration.....

We teach drivers to be able to release the clutch at a stop on a flat level road without power... and once the rig starts to move add power and later shift to another gear... . but the start should be letting the engine torque pickup the load and start the roll without power.....

I have not noticed any vibration with or without a load while in 2nd. I do agree with jelag. My '99 had a 5spd. ,4:10 and 16" tires. My '07 has a 6spd. manual ,3:73 and 17" tires. It took my a while to get used to the new shift points, engine RPM ect.

MY truck vibrates under WOT in 1st 2nd, and 3rd gear when towing heavy.



Of course the un-torquemanaged 516rwhp and 1000+Tq don't help with driveline wrap any... .

Is there a spec for the driveshaft angle through the center support bearing? I had a Ford that would shudder when towing my 5th wheel trailer and I shimmed the center support bearing down about 1/2" to straighten out the driveshaft and that solved it.
