Not a question, but an observation. . Last month we pulled our 5th wheel from CA through NV, UT, down to CO ond back. Dodge absolutely ruled the road, as far as number of pickups pulling something. Ford was clearly second, and only saw a FEW new Chevs. Just driving around around our Bay Area 'hood, Fords seem to be #1, then Chevs, then Dodges. Nice to see that even after the Big 3 have developed competitive diesel HP and GVW ratings, many who really DO something with their trucks are still drawn to the company that first put a real diesel engine in a light truck!
Oh, and not to say anything bad about Japanese trucks, but even with all those ADs on TV with the new mighty Toyotas and Datsuns hauling giant boats and trailers full of steel, we didn't see ONE of them pulling or hauling ANYTHING, ANYWHERE! Guess it will be a while before folks accept them as anything more than something to throw a tool belt and a cooler in the back of and drive to work.
Thanks for listening!
